Canyon of Medjurječka River

Međurječka river carved its canyon in the mountains not far from the sea, halfway between Bar and Ulcinj. For this canyon it can be said that it is the most complete Montenegrin canyon. The reason why is because it offers everything in one place, numerous jumps into blue-green pools carved in cliffs, long waterfalls where the longest one is 31m high and attractive mini toboggans. In the same way it has short access and fast exit which makes it more enjoyable. Expect awaking of all your senses and adrenaline ready to run through your veins. You will remember this canyon for a long time and want to return to him again.

Škurda Canyon

Škurda Canyon is located in the southern part of Montenegro on the very shore of the Boka Bay, one of the most beautiful bays on the Adriatic coast. This canyon is an evidence that nature is an unsurpassed sculptor, where water in limestone sculptured the most beautiful forms. If you visit this canyon you can expect tons of adrenaline which is full of vertical rock walls from 5 to 30 m. In some places you will hang on the rope and look at the old town walls and many cruisers circling the bay. If you choose to go there in the spring months you will enjoy the waterfalls and experience falling through them.

The passage through the canyon lasts from 4-5h depending on the number of participants, and the exit takes 15min. The total duration of the tour is about 6h. It is a medium level canyon difficulty. Rock climbing in Morača Canyon

The Morača Canyon offers plenty of opportunities for rock climbing. At the exit of the canyon is well equiped sport climbing area – Smokovac, while the walls are higher and „clean“ (no bolts) deeper into the canyon. The rock quality is good and last September my friend Bojan and I, climbed a new route in the area of Dromira. Rocks in this part are up to 200 m. high. Our route is 150 m.high, grade V/V+. We named it „OCP“ – by our club that celebrate its 10th anniversary this year. For many reasons, I have not climb much during the last two years. I hope this will change in the future. There is still a large number of posibilities for first ascent routes in the canyon. If you would like to climb, feel free to contact me, I will be pleased to provide you all information that could be useful.
